Blow Your Horn One Last Time For the Tractor

     Robert "Tractor" Traylor was found dead in an oceanfront apartment in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The reported cause of death was a massive heart attack. Traylor had journeyed to Puerto Rico to continue his life as a basketball player. The former NBA and University of Michigan big man, 6'8"  300 lbs. spent 7 seasons in the league.

     Traylor's highlights mostly came as a collegiate player in the mid 90's in the post Fab 5 era at Michigan. After starring at Michigan for three years the "Tractor" decided to haul his 300 lb load to the NBA. He was selected in the first round of the 1998 draft by the Dallas Mavericks with the 6th overall pick. Traylor would not remain a Maverick long being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Future Hall of Famer forward Dirk Nowitzki. He also played with Charlotte, New Orleans, and LeBron James in Cleveland during his tenure in the NBA.

     Although he never achieved great success in the NBA, his smile and kind spirit made this gentle giant known around the NBA amongst its players and coaches.Traylor, 34 is survived by his wife and two children. Funeral arrangements have not been released at this time.
