The world patiently waited for 1:40 EST the tee time for Tiger Woods at the PGA event in Atlanta. Woods shot a 77 on Thursday and was looking for redemption on friday. It would not be a day of redemption for Woods shooting a 3 over 73 for the day and missing the cut by 6 strokes. The roller coaster ride continued on day two with him shooting double bogeys(11th&12 holes) and birdies(8th&9th holes) on back to back holes. Woods is in the middle of swing changes and it shows. He was constantly hitting shots way to long, but he did manage to sink a nice put or two. His early exit from the Atlanta course has eliminated him from the FedEx Cup playoffs. This marks the first time that Tiger has missed the cut at the PGA Championship in 14 tries. As long as he can concentrate on just golf and there aren't any further episodes of "As Tiger Turns" he will be just fine. Tiger will come back with 5 major wins within the next three years and pass the Golden Bear and all will be forgotten.
Our mission is to keep you abreast of the sporting world and provide great debatable sports topics.

The City of Dallas Looking for Back to Back Titles
The city of Dallas now has title fever. The underdog Dallas Mavericks defeated the Miami Heat(4-2) to win the NBA Finals this summer. With the summer leaving the focus is now on the fall and football in Dallas. The Dallas Cowboys has experienced the parades and the ring ceremonies, but it has been over 15 years since the streets were lined with the fans of the star in big D. The city did host Super Bowl XLV this past Febuary and now they want to win one.
The NFL has been a cyclical league with teams like Pittsburg, New England, and Dallas winning multiple Super Bowls. Dallas is the lone member of the teams mentioned that has not won a Super Bowl in this millennium. The Cowboys have been selected multiple times as the pre-season favorite to win it all.Injuries and lack of production at vital positions have continued to keep the hopes of a title in Dallas just an elusive dream. Tony Romo, the starting quarterback for the team only played in 6 games due to injury and with him out of the lineup the Cowboys finished with a record of 6 wins and 10 loses. Dallas was predicted to become the first team in NFL history to host and appear in the same Super Bowl.
Dallas is one of the most balanced offensive and defensive teams in the NFL. The offense will rely heavily on some young players like Felix Jones(RB),rookie Demarco Murray(RB), and Dez Bryant(WR). Veterans Romo(QB), Jason Witten(TE),and Miles Austin(WR) will have to guide the younger players after Dallas released veterans Marc Colombo(OT),Roy Williams(WR), and starting running back Marion Barber III during the off season.
The 3-4 Defense of Dallas has been one of the better statistical defenses in the NFL. The defense has experienced past mental lapses and blown coverage assignments especially in the secondary. The defense led by last year's sack leader DeMarcus Ware(15.5) looks to improve on an impressive 2010 season. The defense recorded 20 interceptions and 10 fumbles last year and with veteran leadership by Ware(LB), Marcus Spears(DE)and company, the Cowboys should be playing on Super Bowl Sunday.
The city of Dallas and a lot of NFL pundits believe that the Dallas Cowboys will finally live up to the great expectations that has been placed on them for the last 3 seasons. The recent success of the Mavericks have only added fuel to the Cowboy Nation as they have their eyes set on Indianapolis and Super Bowl XLVI. I am sure that J.R. Ewing would love to see the Mavericks and Cowboys provide the city of Dallas with back to back titles.
